Ingredients

  • Chicken breasts or thighs: 4 pieces of chicken or 6 pieces if the family is large.
  • Rice: 1 cup washed.
  • Cream of chicken soup: 1 can approximately 300 ml.
  • Cream of mushroom soup: 1 can approximately 300 ml.
  • Chicken broth: 1 cup approximately 240 ml.
  • Onion soup mix: 1 packet usually contains 40-50 grams.
  • Salt and pepper: To taste usually 1 teaspoon of each.

Instructions

  • Preparing the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts or chicken thighs with salt and pepper to taste. If you want to enhance the flavor, you can add garlic powder or onion powder. If you're using chicken thighs, you can cut them into pieces to speed up the cooking process.
  • Preparing the Rice: Wash the rice thoroughly under cold water to remove excess starch. After that, spread the uncooked rice evenly in the bottom of the baking dish.
  • Mixing the Ingredients: In a bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, and onion soup mix, then add chopped garlic or your preferred herbs like dried thyme or rosemary and stir well until the ingredients are fully combined.
  • Cooking the Dish: Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken and rice in the baking dish. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil to prevent the liquid from evaporating. Then, bake the dish in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 1.5 to 2 hours.
  • Serving: Once the dish is ready, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. You can garnish the dish with fresh herbs to add a beautiful touch.
