- 2 pounds of steak such as Filet Mignon, New York Steak, or Ribeye – cut into thin slices or cubes, as preferred
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning optional
- 1 bunch fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
- 1 package 12 ounces fettuccine pasta or any other preferred pasta
Preparing the steak: Heat the oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced or cubed steak, and season with salt and black pepper. Sear the steak on both sides for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown, depending on your desired doneness. Once done, set the steak aside.
Preparing the Alfredo sauce: In the same skillet, add the butter and let it melt. Then add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until the garlic becomes aromatic. After that, add the heavy cream to the skillet and bring it to a gentle simmer, stirring constantly.
Adding cheese and other ingredients: Once the sauce starts to simmer, gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese to the mixture, stirring until the cheese completely melts and the sauce becomes creamy and smooth. Season the sauce with salt and pepper, and add Italian seasoning if you want an extra flavor.
Cooking the pasta: In another pot, cook the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions until it reaches an "al dente" texture. Reserve a small cup of pasta water to adjust the sauce if needed.
Combining the steak with the pasta: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sauce, then add the cooked steak. Stir everything together until the pasta is fully coated with the sauce.
Serving and garnishing: Serve the steak Alfredo in individual plates. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and grated cheese, then serve immediately.
